If you’re looking to gain employment in the healthcare industry or want to expand your skillset, this short course covering medical terminology is for you.
This is a self-directed, 7-month course that is delivered online and covers the structure of medical terms and definition of components, followed by units for each body system with terms related to anatomy, physiology, diseases, investigations, procedures and pharmacology. It includes expansion of abbreviations used in New Zealand health records.
This course is mainly aimed at students who are already in – or looking to gain employment in – the healthcare arena, like hospitals (medical records, ward clerks, typists and clinic receptions), doctors' surgeries, radiology departments, allied health surgeries or insurance companies (underwriters).
You need to successfully complete 4 assessments to pass this course.

Fees: $780.00 (domestic)* / $995.00 (international)*
