This course is designed to refresh your knowledge and practice in the primary health care environment. It is run by our Paramedicine team in conjunction with the industry.
This short course is primarily aimed at the prehospital emergency services including intensive care paramedics, paramedics and EMTs that have completed the postgraduate course PARA808 Community and Remote Paramedicine, or those that have an ECP Authority to Practice and who want to remain current with their clinical practice.
The course has been designed with working health professionals in mind. The pre-learning through AUT's online Blackboard platform is designed to be a self-paced programme that you can progress through at your own speed, place and time. There is only a one day, clinically based in-class component.
The course should take approximately 8 hours of online learning, plus an 8 hour classroom session. However, you will have 2 months to complete the online learning before attending the class. You will need to enrol to gain access to the online learning.
