The recently announced associate psychologist postgraduate programme will enable graduates from an undergraduate psychology degree to continue their studies and complete a one-year postgraduate diploma to become an associate psychologist, helping more New Zealanders access mental health and addiction support.
At this stage, the associate psychologist postgraduate programme is in the early development stages, and the entry and completion requirements won’t be confirmed until after the formal consultation and approval process has been undertaken.

AUT will be helping develop training for a new associate psychologist role to help more New Zealanders access mental health and addiction support.
The new associate psychology programme will be offered by the Psychology and Neuroscience department at AUT, which is known for providing programmes that explore psychology within the context of health as well as the context of society.
