Distribution and Operations Business Partner/Customer Care Manager, Sanofi Philippines, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines
Master of Business Administration with Distinction
Enrolling in the MBA was the obvious next step to advance his career, says Renz Vicson L. Dionisio who came to AUT as an international student from the Philippines.
“I believe that there are many ways to achieve your aspirations, and taking my MBA was the way that best fitted with my version of getting to that end goal. I completed my MBA in 15 months full-time, and am proud of graduating with distinction and of being invited to join the Beta Gamma Sigma Honours Society.”
He still has many fond memories of his time at AUT.
“The most memorable highlight for me was joining the National Case Competition for MBA students. It was a chance to learn, meet and compete with the best in the country, thereby enabling me to step out of my comfort zone and expand my capabilities in the process.
“My lecturer, Associate Professor Fiona Hurd, served as a role model of excellence; providing us not only with the necessary knowledge, but with the confidence and stride to think beyond what is presented in front of us.”
Making an impact for customers
Now back in the Philippines, Renz enjoys making a difference through his role at pharmaceutical company Sanofi Philippines.
“What I love about my job is my ability and influence to make an impact for customers and patients who need their medicine.”
He is proud of being able to influence positive changes.
“I’ve always been proud of being able to implement change for the better, and to improve the way things are done to provide better products and services to people.”
Advice for other students
Renz – who completed his MBA in 2021 – has some great advice for other students.
“Should you choose to go to AUT, you’ll definitely have one of the best experiences in getting to live with one of the best choices you’ve ever made. For me, choosing AUT was an easy decision because of its reputation for its best-in-class business programme, and this choice has enabled me to realise my potential.”
Make the most of the experience, he adds.
“Make sure to enjoy the process and take in as much as you can during this time; paying forward what you can back to society afterwards.”
