He is on a mission to build better businesses for a better New Zealand, says Logan Wedgwood whose business career has spanned from advertising and consultancy to owning a number of successful businesses.

“What I enjoy most about my career is meeting inspiring people. I’ve already had many proud achievements but I’m still going, so watch this space.

“Because I own my own companies and work for myself, I have many different roles and wear all the hats. But mostly, my job title is, ‘Be Logan’.”

Memories of AUT
Logan already had a thriving business career when he decided to take his understanding of marketing and strategy further and seek out a qualification that covered many facets of business.

“I initially came to AUT to study a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and decided to continue into the MBA. I felt that this is a qualification that has credibility and feels like a major achievement, and I liked that it focused on the practical application; not just the theory.”

He still has strong memories of his time at AUT.

“The highlights for me included the friends I met and being able to apply my learning to real-world business issues. Many of the courses I completed gave me insights I was able to apply to my businesses and make fundamental changes that made things better. I also still remember when I completed the fifth course for my qualification and for the first time thought ‘I can do this. I can make it to the end’.”

Advice for other students
Logan – who graduated from AUT with his MBA in 2016 – has some great advice for other students.

“Invest in yourself - it is the best investment you will ever make.

“My other piece of advice would be to hold yourself to high standards.”
