Nau mai, haere mai ki Tupuranga Ake – welcome to Bright Side. Our te reo name, Tupuranga Ake means continuous learning.
Our whakatauki was gifted to us by Jason Kingi, an AUT academic: Ki te tō, ka tupu; ki te aroha, ka puāwai. Haumi e, hui e, tāiki e! – That which is planted grows; that which is nurtured, blossoms. Bind it, gather it, it is sealed.
Join Bright Side on an interactive journey with our guides, where you'll learn how to develop resilience and creativity, increase your confidence and be successful in your studies, career and life.
Our group coaching sessions are a safe and collaborative space for students to discuss self-care, self-leadership and personal development techniques to cultivate wellbeing and connection among their peers. Our self-leadership sessions count towards AUT Edge Award leadership hours.
Our coaches are here to support AUT students to reach your health and life goals. We take a holistic approach to understand your energy levels, nourishment, movement, mood, resilience, and connectedness to guide you to create habits that will set you up for a purposeful, healthy life.
Our Bright Side guides are a passionate, dedicated and talented group of AUT staff and external partners who offer a range of experience and knowledge to help you in your personal development journey.
