Dates and times for graduation

Find out dates and times for upcoming AUT graduation ceremonies. Ceremonies are generally 1½ to 2 hours, but allow up to 3 hours overall from when you arrive to the end of your ceremony.

If you plan to attend graduation, please note that the date and time of your ceremony is contained in the correspondence we send to you. Please check this carefully and only make travel and accommodation arrangements after you have received this confirmation.

Summer graduation – 10 and 11 December 2024

Tuesday 10 December

• Ceremony I - Business, Economics & Law, and Science
  • Arrive by: 9am
  • Doors close: 9.30am
• Ceremony II - Health & Environmental Sciences A (Health Sciences, Sport & Recreation, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry)
  • Arrive by: 12.15pm
  • Doors close: 12.45pm
• Ceremony III - Health & Environmental Sciences B (Clinical Sciences)
  • Arrive by: 3.30pm
  • Doors close: 4pm

Wednesday 11 December

• Ceremony I - Design & Creative Technologies A (Engineering, Computing & Mathematics, Construction, Project Management)
  • Arrive by: 9am
  • Doors close: 9.30am
• Ceremony II - Design & Creative Technologies B (Art & Design, Communication Studies, Creative Technologies, Architecture)
  • Arrive by: 12.15pm
  • Doors close: 12.45pm
• Ceremony III - Culture & Society and Te Ara Poutama
  • Arrive by: 3.30pm
  • Doors close: 4pm
