Safety for students on campus is our priority. Our friendly security staff are available day and night, ready to help you whenever you need it.

In this section, you'll find information on AUT's emergency and safety procedures, as well as tips to help keep you safe when you’re on campus.

How to report an incident or emergency

In any emergency (where there is imminent danger to life or property), call 111 for fire, police or ambulance. If you're dialling from an AUT phone, dial 1 for an outside line then dial 111.

The physical addresses of AUT campuses are:

  • City Campus – 55 Wellesley Street East, Auckland City
  • North Campus – 42 Akoranga Drive, Northcote
  • South Campus – 640 Great South Road, Manukau

Keeping you safe: AUT Security and Emergency Management

AUT Security and Emergency Management are responsible for the security and emergency management of over 27,000 students, 4,000 staff, and a multitude of contractors and visitors on a 24/7 basis.

For any security concerns about yourself, other people or property, you can contact the AUT security team.

Security patrol on campus

AUT security patrols the campuses 24/7 and can easily be identified by their uniforms, staff ID cards or their Security Certificate of Approval badges. You can help security on campus by identifying and immediately reporting any risks, suspicious activity or incidents, and by taking steps to avoid potentially hazardous situations.
