To acknowledge Tuvalu Language Week being celebrated in Aotearoa from 26 September to 2 October, episode six of this year’s AUT Pacific Language Week video series has been released.

Narrated in Tuvaluan (with English subtitles), the video highlights how many strokes can be treated by timely medical care and looks at how the common signs of stroke can be recognised.

Check out the AUT Stroke Riskometer™ app

The video encourages the use of the free Stroke Riskometer mobile app developed by Professor Valery Feigin, Professor Feigin, Director of the National Institute for Stroke and Applied Neurosciences at AUT, to assess their individual risk of stroke and undertake efforts to reduce the risk. The app also been endorsed by the World Stroke Organisation, the World Heart Foundation, the World Federation of Neurology, and the European Stroke Organisation.
