AUT has announced the promotion of 12 leading academics to the position of Professor. A further 15 academics have been appointed as Associate Professors.
“The quality of our academics’ work and its impact on our graduates, industries and communities is recognised by their peers in New Zealand and around the world, said Vice-Chancellor Derek McCormack. “We welcome this year’s appointees to the University’s senior academic ranks and acknowledge their contribution in making AUT one of the world’s best contemporary universities.”
This year, AUT considered three criteria in the professorial promotion round: high quality research, evidence of a sustained and outstanding contribution in teaching, assessment and curriculum design and service to both the University and the community.
