Following a very successful Find Your Greatness campaign in 2020, Brand and Marketing have launched phase two with fresh new content featuring four new graduates:

Meet the graduates behind the campaign – sport and recreation
Last week, we went behind the scenes to meet engineering graduates Kurt and Monique.
This week, meet Dr Lauren Keaney, who completed a PhD in exercise physiology. Find out why she chose to be part of the campaign and how AUT helped her find her greatness.
“I was keen to be a part of this because AUT had a big impact on where I am today and the career I’m in. Through meeting my supervisors, I decided to undertake my PhD here, and was given a range of applied skills. I’ve worked at High Performance Sport New Zealand, Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, and the Defence Force. The skills I got here have been really transferrable to conduct research in a range of settings,” says Lauren.
Head of School, Sport and Recreation, Professor Erica Hinckson says she feels a sense of pride and joy watching Lauren share her story. “It’s been quite emotional watching her doing the filming, but also I feel a sense of validation, because at the end of the day, every decision that we make at the School of Sport and Recreation, it’s around students, their interests and needs. It’s nice to see that Lauren has succeeded in that way.”
