Studying towards a Master of Public Health opened Professor Valerie Wright-St Clair’s eyes to the big trend of the aging population after she saw a gap in research about living life as an older person.
We asked Valerie five questions ahead of her Inaugural Professorial Address - she discussed her research on older people's meaningful participation in inclusive communities, her favourite research project and her hopes for her area of expertise.
“What gets me up in the morning is relationships. It’s relationships both within communities I work with, communities I’m yet to work with, building partnerships, and my colleagues here. To me, it’s about the relationships,” she said.
