#AUTLounge returns to TEDxAuckland 2015
The annual TEDxAuckland conference will bring together an extensive range of national and international speakers from different backgrounds, expertise and experience, covering topics from the shared space economy to running an elderly hip hop dance crew.

AUT University is proud to sponsor TEDxAuckland 2015 on Saturday, May 2 from 9:30am to 6pm at Victory Convention Centre.

The annual TEDxAuckland conference will bring together an extensive range of national and international speakers from different backgrounds, expertise and experience, covering topics from the shared space economy to running an elderly hip hop dance crew.

AUT University Vice-Chancellor Derek McCormack says, “We are proud to be a part of TEDxAuckland for the third year running. AUT is a thought leader on many critical issues relating to Auckland and New Zealand. Therefore, we believe that it is our responsibility as a University to stimulate conversations and debate on important societal topics.”

TEDxAuckland 2015 will also see the return of the #AUTLounge, which will offer conference attendees a unique and interactive forum for expanded discussions and Q&A sessions with selected TEDxAuckland speakers. The #AUTLounge is free for all TEDxAuckland ticket holders.

This year, a panel of speakers appearing in the lounge will also be challenged to tackle a topical issue affecting Auckland and suggest a solution from their perspective. Attendees will be encouraged to vote on the issue they believe to be the most pressing by using the hashtag #AUTLounge.
