AUT helps warriors draw go with a bang
Chemistry Professor Allan Blackman stars in a fun new NZ Warriors social media campaign highlighting the NRL’s 2025 draw.
Filmed on AUT’s city campus, the three and a half minute video shows Prof Blackman destroying a range of mascots and objects representing the Warriors’ opponents.
From torching tigers to decimating dolphins to ravaging rabbits, it’s a very entertaining watch and has already had more than 90,000 views and thousands of likes.
The many comments include “best draw announcement ever”, “exceptional content”, “so creative and cool” and “elite trolling”.
When the Warriors approached AUT asking for help with the video, the School of Science and Prof Blackman were more than happy to assist. Who doesn’t love a good science experiment, especially if it involves explosions and flames?
