AUT alumnus to study at Columbia University
Congratulations to Auckland University of Technology (AUT) alumnus, Jeremy Olds, who has been awarded a 2016 Fulbright New Zealand General Graduate Award.
A special awards ceremony was held in Parliament last week, where Olds and his fellow Fulbright Award winners were presented with their certificates by United States (US) Ambassador to New Zealand Mark Gilbert and Attorney General Chris Finlayson.
Olds is among six ‘promising New Zealand graduate students’ to receive the 2016 Fulbright New Zealand General Graduate Award, which will allow him to undertake a Master of Arts in Journalism (specialising in arts and culture) at Columbia University in New York. He will receive a one-off payment of US$31,000 to go toward study costs, up to NZ$4000 toward a return airfare to the US, and ongoing support and development opportunities from Fulbright New Zealand while he is in the US.
Olds graduated with a BCS(Hons) from AUT in 2012.
