AUT has received the maximum five stars for the first time in every category according to the global education analysts Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) in their recent results.
AUT now has 5 QS stars for Research and Innovation, a significant improvement from the previous 3 QS stars. In the Specialist Subjects category, AUT’s sports subjects has also received a 5 QS star endorsement for the first time.
“Contributing to research excellence in New Zealand and internationally is a priority for the University and this result from a global ranking organisation recognises the outstanding efforts of our academic staff,” said Vice-Chancellor Derek McCormack.
The full list of categories in which AUT received maximum QS stars include: Research, Innovation, Teaching, Employability, Internationalisation, Facilities, Specialist subject and Inclusiveness.
The QS Stars rating system is operated by QS, the independent compiler of the QS World University Rankings since 2004. The system evaluates 1000 top universities across a wide range of important indicators, set against pre-established international standards.
