AUT 51 in THE Young University Rankings
The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings released today reveals that AUT is one of the world's top young universities, ranked at #51.
Vice-Chancellor Derek McCormack said: "AUT's move from the 101-150 band to number 51 in the world is based on measures such as the quality of our teaching and research, our international outlook and research impact. The latter is a major factor for our improved position. To be ranked as one of the world's top young universities is a remarkable achievement for a university that is only nineteen years old."
The main driver of AUT's improvement is due to the University's research impact (citations) and international outlook scores. The score for research (measured by research reputation, research income and research productivity) also improved.
The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings list the world's best universities that are aged 50 years or under. It uses the same 13 performance indicators as the flagship THE World University Rankings, but the weightings have been adjusted to give less weight to reputation.
