Auckland author Gina Cole is the first writer to share advice and insights with those aspiring to be published as part of the AUT 2017 Visiting Writers Program.
Hosted by The Centre of Creative Writing and facilitated by lecturer and poet, Siobhan Harvey, the programme gives Master of Creative Writing candidates and those interested in writing, the chance to hear from writers, agents and arts practitioners.
Cole, whose debut book of short stories Black Ice Matter was published in 2016 writes short fiction and poetry. She is a barrister specialising in family law and has a Master of Creative Writing from the University of Auckland.
Future visitors to the program include Auckland Writers Festival director Anne O'Brien, international New Zealand based agent Vicki Marsdon, author Helen McNeil and the publisher from Cloud Ink Thalia Henry.
