Associate Professor Wei Qi Yan from AUT’s Department of Computer and Information Sciences recently became a fellow of Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau.
He was recognised for his impact on AI through his academic research and engineering education and for his significant contribution to New Zealand "by organising international conferences and advancing deep learning and computer vision.”
