Sport and Recreation alumni event 2019
The School of Sport and Recreation and the AUT Alumni team recently hosted a 20-year celebration and re-connection event for alumni, business and industry partners and staff.

About the celebration
The evening of networking and celebration included an address from Hon Grant Robertson, Minister of Sport and Recreation, Vice-Chancellor, Derek McCormack and Head of School, Erica Hinckson. The speakers acknowledged the significant contribution the school and alumni along with staff and industry partners give to the sport and recreation sector and other industries as well as remembering the people who historically influenced and advocated for the programme and progress of the school. Sky Sport Breakers owner and CEO, Matt Walsh also presented tickets to a Breakers game to a lucky prize winner and an optional tour of key facilities, including labs and teaching spaces was also provided during the evening.
The school and alumni team hope to host more events in the future.
