School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences Professor Krishnamachar Prasad was recognised with the prestigious Hind Rattan Award in Bangkok.
The Hind Rattan (named after a Hindi phrase that translates to "Jewel of India") is one of India's highest diasporic awards and is presented annually to non-resident persons of Indian origin (NRIs) by the NRI Welfare Society of India.
The award recognises Professor Prasad's work on the development and reliability of novel interconnects in conventional and three-dimensional integrated circuits.
His award was presented by Phillippe Le Gall, High Commissioner of the Seychelles to India and Non-Resident Ambassador to Thailand at a ceremony held during the 37th Congress of Non Resident Indians in Bangkok in January.
