It's Fiji Language Week, being celebrated in Aotearoa from 3 October to 9 October, and episode seven of this year’s AUT Pacific Language Week video series has been released.
The video is narrated in Fijian (with English subtitles). It explains how a healthy diet can go a long way in reducing a person’s risk of having a stroke.
View our Fiji Language Week video below to find out more about some common healthy eating tips.
The video encourages the use of the free Stroke Riskometer mobile app developed by Professor Valery Feigin, Professor Feigin, Director of the National Institute for Stroke and Applied Neurosciences at AUT, to assess their individual risk of stroke and undertake efforts to reduce the risk. The app also been endorsed by the World Stroke Organisation, the World Heart Foundation, the World Federation of Neurology, and the European Stroke Organisation.
