AUT’s Professor of Human Resource Management, Dr Jarrod Haar, has been re-appointed to the Marsden Fund Council for a further three-year term.
Announcing the re-appointment, Research, Science and Innovation Minister Megan Woods said the Marsden Fund is one of New Zealand’s most prestigious contestable research investment funds, aimed at generating new knowledge with long-term benefit to New Zealand.
The Marsden Fund Council set the direction of the Fund and chooses which proposals receive funding through an annual contestable process. The Council is made up of eleven eminent researchers spanning a range of disciplines, who are appointed by the Minister of Science and Innovation.
Minister Woods also announced the re-appointment of Massey University’s Professor Cynthia White for a second term and Associate Professor Janet Wilmshurst from University of Auckland/Landcare Research as a new member of the council.
Professor Jarrod Haar is of Ngāti Maniapoto and Ngāti Mahuta descent. He is a Professor of Human Resource Management in the Department of Management at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) Business School and is the Deputy Director of the New Zealand Work Research Institute.
Professors’ Haar, White and Wilmshurst terms on the Council will end on 28 February 2022.
