AUT on screen with Talkback
The City Campus is currently featuring on-screen with TVNZ’s new on-demand show Talkback, following the career of hard-talking, right-leaning king of talkback radio Malcolm White.
Dr Matt Mollgaard, Head of Department, Radio & Audio Media in the School of Communication Studies worked with the production company on the locations.
“The producers were blown away with our facilities – as good as any professional radio station in the country, which really lifted the look and feel of the show as well as the performance of the actors, who were working in real radio spaces, rather than hokey sets’”, says Dr Mollgaard.
“It’s great fun to see the spaces used all the time by our Radio and Audio Media students being featured in Talkback, and reminder that our facilities, including our radio station, are just like those our students will use once they graduate.”
