We are all truly saddened to hear of the death of Austin Brashears.

Austin died as a result of a tragic car accident on State Highway 46 south of Turangi at about 7.30am on Saturday morning.

A new clinic at AUT Millennium Campus will lead a unique global network of anthropometrists providing data enabling elite athletes to know more about their body composition than ever before.

An AUT PhD graduate was recognised on Friday at the Te Amorangi National Māori Academic Excellence Awards.

Peter Maulder, Ngati Kahungunu and Ngati Pahauwera, was the recipient of one of these awards, having graduated from AUT at the end of 2011. He completed his research by answering the question 'What is the role of joint coupling variability and joint stiffness in lower limb injury'.

Mr Maasland’s service to the governance of the University began in 2009 when he was appointed to the University Council in consultation with the Central Organisation of Employers.
