Next steps for visiting exchange students

Has your home university nominated you to go on a student exchange, and you have applied and accepted your offer of place to study at AUT in New Zealand? Find out what you need to do before you arrive in Auckland, New Zealand, to make sure you’re ready for a semester like no other.

Choosing and enrolling in your courses

AUT has a wide selection of courses for visiting students. If you’re coming to AUT on a student exchange, you continue to pay your home institution’s fee. You don’t pay AUT for the courses you’re studying*.

Because exchange agreements can vary with each partner institutions, you should ask your home university’s exchange team which subjects you can select from. Some partnerships are university-wide, which means you can select from any of our courses; some might be for specific subjects.

Once you’ve confirmed your place with AUT for a semester exchange, the team will contact you with further steps on how to select and enrol in your courses.
