The MSRG focuses on two main areas – Analytics and Applied Mathematics with a number of research clusters - Statistical Programming, Statistical Methodology, Stochastic Modelling, Computational & Mathematical Modelling (including Numerical methods), Financial Mathematics and Decision Analysis (including game theory), Structural Dynamics (including acoustics and waves).
The symposium will focus on the aforementioned areas. There will be some invited talks and we welcome contributed talks from the mathematical sciences community.
If you are planning on attending the Joint NZSA/ORSNZ Conference at AUT over the period November 27-30 you may wish to consider staying on in Auckland for the Symposium.
The meeting is open to all interested participants. There is no registration fee with morning and afternoon teas provided. There will be a Symposium Dinner on the Thursday evening (partially supported by the MSRG for those presenting at the Symposium.)
