This year's summit theme is "Getting the Story Right: Indigenous Peoples’ Practice", highlighting the importance of honouring oral traditions and connectedness in Indigenous knowledge transfer and storytelling as integral parts of sharing health practices.
Led by a team of international academics from Canada, the US, and Australia, along with Professor Denise Wilson, FHES Associate Dean for Māori Advancement, the Indigenous Nursing Research for Health Equity (INRHE) Summit aims to gather healthcare professionals, scholars, thought leaders, and clinicians.
The goal is to share research findings and approaches that prioritise the health and well-being of Indigenous populations, such as the Aboriginal, First Nations, Native Americans, and Māori.
Registration to attend the summit is now open.
The previous summit was held in 2022 at the University of Texas, Austin.
Staff and students interested in submitting abstracts can email inrhe2024@aut.ac.nz by 14 July at 5 pm NZST.
