The MSRG focuses on two main areas – Analytics and Applied Mathematics with a number of research clusters:

  • Statistical Programming
  • Statistical Methodology
  • Stochastic Modeling (including rainfall modeling)
  • Computational and Mathematical Modelling (including numerical methods)
  • Financial Mathematics and Decision Analysis (including game theory)
  • Structural Dynamics (including acoustics and waves)

The symposium will focus on the aforementioned areas. There will be some invited talks (45 mins plus 5 mins for discussion) and we welcome contributed talks (25 mins plus 5 mins for discussion) from the mathematical sciences community. Please send an abstract of the talk (up to 250 words) to MSRG by Friday November 7, 2014.

The meeting is open to all interested participants. There is no registration fee with morning and afternoon teas provided. All participates are required to fill the registration form and send it back to MSRG by November 21, 2014.

There will be a Symposium Dinner on the Thursday evening (partially supported by the MSRG). Please advise MSRG by Friday November 21, 2014 if you intend to participate and/or attend the Dinner.
