Human experiences are studied in many disciplines, but the related theories, methodologies and concept definitions are not actively shared across the disciplinary borders. The goal is to establish a more solid multidisciplinary foundation for experience research. How to characterize experiences, how to communicate them to others, how to understand others’ experiences, how to create new experiences? Methods and theories from different fields of sciences and art are needed in this enterprise.
The theme for the 7 Experience Summit 2023 is “Transformational Experiences Beyond Borders: Partnership development for sustainable futures” – which calls for a deliberate response to the changes impacted by the global COVID‐19 pandemic. The summit aims to provoke collaboration among academics and professionals to establish new research, network, and businesses. Through this summit, we seek to find new case studies and research projects to learn from, transform, redesign experiences and reconceptualize experience theories and concepts in their respective disciplines to regenerate our societies for sustainable futures.
Previous workshops have included demonstration of experience research tools, experiential teaching and learning tools, business brand experience, and other surprises focusing on human experiences.
